Wildlife Photography Lessons

Photographing wildlife presents several unique challenges. First and foremost is safety. Not only for you, but the wildlife too.

Finding specific wildlife can be difficult. Knowing their habitat and behavior helps. Once found, knowing what to do is timely. Most wildlife don’t just stand around posing for pictures. Most of the time they are eating and on the move. And they move when they want to. Driven by the endless search for more food.

Long lenses (telephotos) are most often used when photographing wildlife. But, not always. Which lens to use and when to use it needs to be decided before encountering the animal. That’s tricky. How do you know? Ah, lessons help with that.

Time of day, the light, the weather and other safety issues all play into photographing wildlife. Not all wildlife behave the same way. Bears, for example, are just like people. They have personalities. Other wildlife also exhibit routines and traits that if recognized can be used to enhance photo opportunities. All talked about in a lesson.

So, if wildlife photography interests you, time to put that thought into motion.
