ON DISPLAY
Over the years Tom has displayed many images at local galleries, art fairs and in competition. While living in Wyoming, Tom won awards including First Prize and Best of Show multiple times. Since moving to Rochester, New York, Tom has displayed over 60 framed images at a local art gallery known as Image City. Again, Tom has been recognized with awards and gallery citations. Leading off Tom’s Gallery beginning lower down this page is an image titled Black Hat. The Black Hat print was entered into the juried Magic of Light 2021 Show at Image City. As it turned out, it was the first time in the galleries 20 year history that all eight judges selected the same image. Black Hat won First Place. Since then Tom has entered many more. About a year ago there was some discussion with other photographers about Tom’s ‘style’. What is his style? Turns out Tom does not actually have a style. Tom’s photography tends to be what is known as ‘Realism’. A lot of history surrounds Realism with a short explanation posted below. Whatever it is, many of Tom’s gallery images are displayed here. Tom thinks of his photography as real things photographed by real people. More about Tom can be found on this website on the About page. Tom is scheduled to display more prints at Image City throughout 2026. Follow the Newsletter for dates and times. In the meantime some remarks from the Image City Gallery Partners and Judges are posted here.
